Change the nickname you use to identify an additional virtual account in your application. Renaming it keeps the same bank details, virtual_account_id, and external_id.

Nickname: Use a non-blank name of up to 255 characters. The name must be unique within the customer, including names kept by deleted accounts. A conflicting name returns 409.

Availability: Default accounts and accounts still in PENDING cannot be renamed. These requests return 409.

A successful request returns the updated account with HTTP 200. Historical transaction queries will also show its current nickname. Renaming does not send a virtual account webhook.

If you later repeat the original creation request, use this new nickname with the original external_id.
