This endpoint is typically called in response to a Request for Information (RFI) — see the Individual Onboarding Overview for the full onboarding flow and Individual Onboarding Webhooks for RFI events.
Fields accepted during initiation, except profile, can be changed while the account is DRAFT or ACTION_REQUIRED. The profile can be changed while the account remains eligible for an upgrade below Tier 3.
