Delete an additional virtual account when the customer no longer plans to use it. Deletion cannot be undone. For a temporary pause, use Deactivate Virtual Account.

Send the DELETE request without a body. A successful request returns 204 No Content. Deleting the same account again also returns 204.

After deletion: The account no longer appears in lists, and retrieving it returns 404. Past transactions keep any recorded virtual account association, and fees already incurred still apply.

Before deleting: Remove the bank details from your payment screen and ask payers to stop using them. Deletion does not guarantee that the bank will reject later transfers. Funds sent to the old details can still need manual review.

Default accounts and pending creations cannot be deleted and return 409. An account that does not exist or does not belong to the customer returns 404.

Deletion sends a virtual_account.deleted webhook with deleted: true. See Virtual Account Webhooks for the payload.
